My family and I spend a splendid 4 day vacation at the Riad El Kemia. The best stay by far as compared to all the other Airbnbs where I have been during the past 8 years. It is simply amazing. The beauty of the architecture, the comfortable rooms, the kind and efficient personnel made our stay in Marrakech a dream come true. If you plan to go to Marrakech, check out this unique piece of art! Veronica, Khalid, Bouchra, Abderrazak and Noureddine, thank you so much for making our stay a unique experience.
Riad Alkemia is a beautiful, magical and peaceful place in the center of everything in Marrakech. I cannot recommend it more highly. The staff are so kind, knowledgeable and helpful, they truly want you to have an amazing stay. Like all Moroccans, they welcome you in every way imaginable. The breakfasts are fresh and delicious. We were lucky to book an amazing Moroccan food cooking class held at the riad. We feel lucky to have found this oasis.
Our stay at Riad Alkemia was sheer perfection. Veronica and her team are phenomenal. There were 8 adults in our group. Veronica and her team made recommendations, then assisted us in the final scheduling and coordination of excursions. They communicated with us frequently and clearly about costs, timing, and schedules before our arrival and after we’d arrived. The riad is phenomenal. It has all of the modern conveniences while maintaining the cultural touches that are true to the history of Marrakech. It is withing easy walking distance of the Medina, the Square, Jardin, and other major must-see points. The staff pampered us to no end; freshly cut fruit and baked bread for breakfast, a personalized cooking class, maid service, and even coordinating the shipment of items purchased to our homes are just a few of the services they provided to us. Veronica, her team, and Riad Alkemia team have set the bar; they’re the model for all vacations. There is nothing negative to say about our stay at Riad Alkemia. It was amazing all around.
Riad Alkemia is what a Romantic would call an oasis in the desert. Not that Marakkech is not already a jewel in the crown, entering into this specific Riad brings even more calm and serenity from an often busy city. I’ve traveled far and wide, often intrepidly, but found Riad Alkemia to be one of the most surprising — from the enchanted pool with rose petals strewn on its fountain, the antique doors that frame each entryway to the design-worthy arrangements of objects and artifacts in each bedroom. The prize in the lot is the main bedroom where the bed is topped with a domed cupola in classic Moroccan style. When we stayed, the staff allowed us to have dinner on the top terrace where they served us grilled aubergine, meat and vegetarian tajine, ending in honey-glazed slices of Moroccan orange sprinkled with cinnamon. It was a clear night (not uncommon for Marrakech) and we had turned the Bluetooth on our cel phones to play Chopin.
If you are ever in Marrakech, where there are dozens of amazing options for accommodations (from grand to intimate), I would highly recommend Riad Alkemia as the unique stop to experience.
We came as a group of 10 friends, and this Riad was absolutely perfect for a luxurious break. It felt like a beautiful, tranquil private home where we could all relax, sunbathe, eat and drink together and have the most amazing treatments in the little hammam on the ground floor. Except unlike our normal homes, this had a team of amazing staff who could not have been more helpful – they sorted our airport transfers, walked us to local restaurants we’d booked, cooked and served delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners when we wanted them. On top of this they brought us buckets of ice for the drinks we had bought duty free, provided bottled water and mint tea for our arrival and bottled water in our rooms. The perfect balance of discreetly leaving us to enjoy the Riad but being available for anything we needed, On top of that they went the extra mile to help locate some shopping that had not been delivered from one of the souk stalls, even offering to post it back to us as it arrived after we had left. Honestly none of us wanted to leave, and we couldn’t fault a thing, We felt very safe despite being only minutes from the hustle and bustle of the medina, and we walked to the most amazing restaurants all within 5-10 mins from the Riad. The Riad is tucked away done some small narrow alleyways too narrow for any vehicles, but as they arranged our airport transfer this was no problem as we were met by their lovely staff who took our cases on trolleys and led us there easily. Blissful!
